Sue Melus - Glenn Melus

Sue Melus has a degree in Natural Resources from Cornell University. Her career in the outdoors has taken her to wild and remote places, from the Five Ponds Wilderness Area in the Adirondacks to the forests and peaks of the Rocky Mountains.

In 1993 Sue paddled a remote tributary to the Volga River for two weeks in Russia. She has gone on several multi-day whitewater rafting trips in Colorado and Utah. She can also be found quietly paddling a canoe or a flat water kayak.

Hunting, shooting sports, archery and fly fishing are favorite past times. Sue is also an experienced dog handler, training her own German shorthaired pointers for upland hunting and obedience.

Sue’s professional experience includes Director of Operations at the Aspen Global Change Institute, BioTech for the US Forest Service, Naturalist at the Aspen Global Change Institute, and Research Assistant at the Institute of Ecosystem Studies.

Sue Melus currently owns a public relations and communications business for the outdoor industry. She is also a freelance writer, published in several magazines and online writing sites. Watercolor painting and photography are a favorite hobby.
